I'm hoping that this title stays true. I set my alarm to go to the gym at 5:30 this morning before work, but I somehow woke up at 6:30..didn't hear my alarm because I think I shut it off in my sleep. Needless to say, I still made it to the gym this afternoon and had a great little workout to get back into the swing of things.
1 mile run
Row 500 meters (2x)
100 squats with a 20 lb kettlebell
50 sit ups
I haven't rowed in over 2 weeks and I got a PR on my first 500 meter row, 2:01.4! I beat my last PR by 3 seconds! I also maintained my mile time, 7:30. 2 weeks without the gym was enough for me. I was lacking energy and motivation, sleeping too much and felt lackadaisical and mopey. I don't know how people can go months, even years without stepping foot into the gym. I feel like a new person now!
Despite my newfound burst of energy, I heated up a frozen dinner for my post workout meal. If you know anything about me, I hate frozen dinners. I think they're fake, over-processed, and gross. This dinner was completely different though. I've been eyeing these frozen meals at Target for the longest time.
Evol's food tastes fresh, almost like something that's been cooked with love. There's no antibiotics or hormones, no artificial colors/flavors/anything, and it's non-GMO. Yay for delicious and environmentally conscious food! This didn't even taste like a frozen dinner. There were chunks of actual veggies and the sauce was heavenly. Though it didn't look like the picture, it was full of flavor.
Can't wait to try more of their delicious bowls! Check out their website for more info :)
Still debating if I want to make a dessert tonight. My coconut water was sweet enough! You will find out later!
